Chicago - Giant Gingerbread House!

After reading my first Chicago post, you probably wanted to see the giant gingerbread house, right? Well, here it is. Me and my brother Leo inside a giant gingerbread house in the Chicago Hilton hotel.

Chicago - American Girl

This is a Chicago post on the American Girl Place. I went there last friday. They have a new Christmas display up, it's really cute. I purchased a poster set, a "director's chair" for my dolls, and a mini Rebecca doll. Here are some photos of the outside Christmas window display.

They also have some really cute displays throughout the whole store, particularly in the JLY (Just Like You) doll section, on the second floor. They have all of th available Just-Like-You dolls "lined up like soldiers" (my mom's words) in a glass case on display.

Chicago - Cool Stores

This is the Chicago post for "Cool Stores". Here is the first segment. Pictured are Crate&Barrel, XXI, and Swarovski.

And here's a photo of a really cool window display of mannequins...

And here are some photos of the Rainforest Cafe...

Chicago!

Hey guys, its Angeline with an update on my life. Last weekend I went to Chicago, IL for 2 1/2 days (Most of Friday, Saturday, and some of Sunday) packed with excitement. I walked around in the city, stopped by in some pretty cool stores (Rainforest Cafe, Nordstrom's, Crate&Barrel, American Girl store, Hershey's, Ghiradelli's, Filene's Basement), went inside a giant gingerbread house, ate deep-dish Chicago pizza, gave the leftovers to a homeless man, visited a German market, relaxed in a sauna, and ate Chinese takeout in our hotel room while watching The War of the Worlds on TV, and exchanged Christmas gifts with my cousins. This post will be waaay to long if I put all of the photos in one, so I'm splitting it up...

Ghost Pictures - Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, GA

I was looking through my 2009 vacation photos recently, and came across my Savannah photography. Well, I'd like to show you a few odd findings in the photos. The first one is of a Civil War burial lot. As you can see, there is a mysterious cloud of white mist hanging above a group of heastones...hm....

This next photo is of a statue of Corrine Lawton. She jumped into the Savannah river about one hundred years ago and drowned herself. Her grave and statue is facing toward the river. Anyway, I took two photos of the gravesite, both seconds after another. I took a second one because the first one didn't turn out so well. Later, as I reviewed the photo, it was oddly dark, like it was about to storm, and a big cloud of mist hung around her grave. The second photo, taken seconds after, looks perfectly fine. Weird....

The last photo I'd like to share is of the famous and loved statue of Gracie Watson. And, I am excited to say, there is an APPARITION in the background!!! See for yourself! :)

Pullips 2010

I'm surprised to see, when I checked pullipstyle today, that they have already released the Pullip of February, 2010! (OK, not technically "released", she's on preorder) But still, they've already revealed 2 dolls in 2010, which is kinda of early, considering its still November, 2009! The January 09 Pullip, Tae Yang, and Dal are vampires. They're kind of pretty, but mostly...creepy. And evil-looking. I'm not sure I'd want one sitting on my shelf. But the February doll I LOVE. Her stock name is Chelsea, and she's punk-rock themed, with bold blue hair and eyes! I adore her. I think I'm going to preorder her with my birthday money! :)

Miss Pretty Doll Pageant

The Miss Pretty Doll Pageant of Fall 2009 has ended, resulting in the lovely miss Eva winning. Eva is a pullip doll owned by YouTube user robotmonkeysrule. This is what robotmonkeysrule says in response to her winning of the pageant: "... I really have never one a real photo-contest, with rounds and everything, and it made me so happy...I plan to be a professional photographer on the side one day..." Congratulations, robotmonkeystrule! She did such a great job in all of the rounds, with beautiful, original, adn very creative photography. She'll be a famous photographer someday, I know it! Coming in close second in the Fall 09 MPDP was Lola, owned by animeluvrkasey.

The Winter 09 MPDP entries are OPEN now, so PLEASE enter! I'll keep updates on the number of entries. You can enter American Girl, Pullip/Dal (GIRL Dal, please!!! Send 1-3 photos with a THEME to missprettydoll@yahoo.com, along with your youtube username, doll's name, and why you'd be a good contribution to the pageant.

Also, I'm accepting JUDGE ENTRIES this time! I've gotten 1 so far, and I need more! If you're interested in being a JUDGE for the Winter 09 MPDP, PLEASE send an email to missprettydoll@yahoo.com with why you'd like to be a judge and what is great about the Missd Pretty Doll Pageant. I'll send you a previous MPDP contestant photo for you to critique.

Please enter the Winter 09 MPDP as a contestant/judge! I hope to get at least 30 entries! Since I have nearly 1,000 subs on YouTube, a lot should be entering but they dont! It's FUN! So ENTER! (please)
